6 Months

Sunday we crossed the six-month mark! We are so thankful that the Lord has sustained our little girl's life thus far and we're praying everything continues to go well for the remaining three months.

Not a whole lot has changed since my last post, except the fact that I can no longer eat right before bed and I can no longer eat quite so much in one sitting or I'll get indigestion. Oh, and I did wake up with a bad leg cramp one day last week so now I'm trying to stretch each day to keep that from happening again. But other than that things are going really well. We're getting more and more excited to meet her and hug her and kiss her and ponder who she looks like, etc.

My next doctor appointment is a week from Thursday so I'll be sure to post an update after that.

25 Weeks

Here's the 25-week belly (pictures courtesy of my sister Angela). We had another doctor appointment on Monday and everything is still looking great! Our baby girl is measuring right on track and they estimate that she now weighs 1 lb. 11 oz. I also passed the gestational diabetes test so we're glad for that. Next appointment is on July 31st and then I start going back every two weeks. We also start birthing classes soon. Now it's really starting to feel like baby will be here before we know it.

24-week Belly

New toys

Here is daddy working on what will probably the first of many assembly projects to come. This is our stroller and carseat. It's a good thing he likes projects like this!

The finished product!

Jeremy wanted an action shot of me pushing the new stroller, but he kept telling me to slow down until finally I was barely walking at all. That's why I'm laughing.

Now we have a carseat so at least we'll be able to bring baby home from the hospital. We put a baby doll in it so we didn't look so silly carrying around an empty carseat, but I'm not sure that we accomplished the "not so silly" goal. :)

24 Weeks

We're 24 weeks now! It's been a few weeks since my last post, so what's been happening since then?
  • Baby girl is moving a lot! Now we can see her moving, which I LOVE! I could stare at my belly for hours (if I didn't have anything else to accomplish in the day).
  • Last week I packed away almost all of my remaining non-maternity clothes. As I was trying things on to see if I could still squeeze into them I was a little sad to discover that I am now gaining weight in other areas besides just my belly. It's for a good cause though so I'm trying not to let it bum me out too much. And so far I haven't let it stop me from eating as much as I want! :)
  • My parents bought us a stroller and carseat combo with credit card points that they had, and it arrived on Saturday. I convinced Jeremy that we should assemble it right away to make sure we weren't missing any pieces or anything, so now we have a stroller and carseat sitting in our living room. It's so cute! We put a little baby doll in the carseat to help us envision the real thing. It's crazy to think that, Lord willing, we'll be putting our own little baby in there in a few short months.
  • Last week my nieces were at my house for a night. My sister wanted to feel the baby moving so I laid on the couch for awhile so she could feel. When I got up my niece Hannah (3 yrs old) hopped up on the couch, lifted her shirt and said "You want to feel MY belly?" She's convinced now that she also has a baby in her tummy. But her baby is a boy. So we felt her belly and we asked her what she is going to name her baby. After several minutes of deep thought she proclaimed, "His name is Belle!" Thankfully she did tell me once that her baby isn't going to come out ever, so hopefully she isn't disappointed when our baby comes out and hers doesn't.
  • I have been weaning off of my anti-nausea medicine for the past three weeks and I am currently on day two of no medicine!! I'm so excited about that. I haven't felt the most super today, but my doctor said that's to be expected as my body adjusts to not having it. And although I haven't felt super, I haven't been even close to puking either, so I'd say it's going well. I'm hoping that each day this week just continues to get better and that I won't need to take any more doses. Praise God for that! I know they keep telling me it's perfectly safe for the baby, but still.

Well I do have pictures to post, but I need Jeremy to load them on the computer and I don't know if he'll get to that tonight. I'll hope to get them on here soon so you can see the expanding of the belly. Thanks for your continued prayers!
